CURRENTLY WORKING AS ART DIRECTOR AT VERA WANG

SENIOR DESIGNER
HOWARD HUGHES CORP.
MAY. 2014 - DEC. 2015
19 FULTON STREET RM 201 NEW YORK, NY 10038

Howard Hughes(HHC) a company which owns, manages and develops commercial, residential and mixed-use real estate throughout the country. HHC is comprised of master planned communities, operating properties, development opportunities and other unique assets spanning 16 states from New York’s South Street Seaport to Downtown Honolulu.

While at HHC I managed a team of designers working on a variety of multi-demential projects consisting of both residential product and community engagement.

In conjunction with world renowned architects such as Richard Meirs, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, Shop Architects, Frank Gehry, Bjarke Ingels and BIG Architects my focus was developing Ward Village, a coastal community in the heart of Honolulu. Ward Village is comprised of exceptional residences, an eclectic collection of retail stores and entertainment venues, pedestrian walkways, outdoor gathering spaces occupying 60-acres of prime coastal real estate.

For Ward Village I art direct and branded each property, created sales and marketing materials, engaged the local community through experiential marketing initiatives, Art directed photoshoots and video campaigns, developed apps, websites and all forms of digital media. Ward Village was truly a 360 degree design project I am externally happy to say I was a part of.

DESIGNER
STARWOOD HOTELS & RESORTS
FEB. 2013 - NOV. 2013
76 VARICK ST. FLOOR 20  NEW YORK, NY 10013

At Starwood I was originally brought on to the team to concept and run creative design for two of their luxury hotel brands; W Hotels Worldwide, and Le’Meridien’s annual general manager summits. However, based on my talents in creative marketing and over all ability to conceptualize a brand both from a design standpoint and a strategic positioning approach within various consumer markets, i was quickly moved on to managing several other projects for various brands within the Starwood Hotels Group.

My time at Starwood was spent conceptualizing a new brand direction for many of the Starwood brands, pulling countless inspirational images for upcoming projects, developing innovative marketing initiatives, brainstorming and organizing photo and video shoots, 2D collateral pieces, webpages, as well as designing custom interior elements including, in-room textiles and amenities, holiday displays, and a new gym/spa design that included both a visual refresh and a strategic approach to reinvent the preexisting gym/spa concept.

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER // FOUNDER
ANTARCTIC CREATIVE
AUG. 2007 - JAN. 2012
22 NORFOLK ST. STUDIO 20  NEW YORK, NY 10002

Antarctic was a creative agency I developed along side my two business partners to manage a large portfolio of projects with a multi-dimensional range of services. With clients such as Vitaminwater, Caffè Vita, Via Tribunali, Pike Street Fish Fry, Publicacesss.Tv, New York Never Sleeps, GIVE Campaign, as well as inter-organizational projects such as Antarctic Industrial Design Group (AIDG), Antarctic Sandwiches, and

As principal designer I had to multi task and work independently through the entire design process - from concept to planning to development to execution. I developed concepts and designs for pop-up stores, restaurant interiors, sales booths, concert venues, programmed spaces and food stands. As well as packaging designs ranging form large-scale production, and small conceptually based packaging, posters, flyers, websites, blogs, brand books, sales sheets, banners, apparel, merchandise, and industrial products. While running Antarctic I really learned the core behind building and producing a range of marketing concepts, products, and events.
